Mcu Board

An MCU board suits bench control builds where inputs, outputs and serial links need to stay visible during testing. Use it for small automation mock-ups, sensor logging or relay switching before wiring a full panel. In Johannesburg workshops, clean power, labelled headers and a quick check on USB lead quality help prevent confusing start-up faults.

Sensor Pack

A sensor pack helps makers compare temperature, motion, light or distance readings on one bench instead of buying single modules one by one. It is useful for school projects, prototype enclosures and control tests where signal noise and supply voltage must be checked early. Near the coast, sealed storage and dry packing matter because exposed pins and headers can tarnish in salty air.

Relay Module

Relay modules are used when a low-voltage controller must switch lamps, pumps, fans or other higher-load devices safely. Before fitting one, confirm coil voltage, terminal spacing and whether the board includes flyback protection or isolation. On test benches with frequent load-shedding changeovers, neat mains separation and clear load labels reduce wiring mistakes.

Psu Brick

A PSU brick provides stable DC for routers, development boards, LED drivers and other bench electronics that do not like sagging voltage. Match the output plug, current rating and polarity before connecting anything with a barrel jack. During long test sessions, allow airflow around the supply and check for heat build-up if several modules are powered from one source.

Proto Shield

A proto shield gives a quick way to build add-on circuits above a controller without loose jumper wires spreading across the bench. It works well for trial resistors, level shifting, small drivers and connector breakouts that need repeated changes. Good solder joints, short signal runs and marked power rails make later fault-finding far easier.

Io Expander

An IO expander is handy when a project has run out of pins but still needs extra switches, LEDs or digital lines. It is often added to compact controller setups where board space is tight and cable counts must stay sensible. Check bus addressing, pull-up requirements and connector orientation before stacking it into an existing build.
